WEB ANALYTICS GROWS UP Â AND OUT
Firms that we surveyed foresee their Web analytics user populations growing by an average of 23% in 2006, and 38% expect their site analytics user pool to grow by more than 25% over 2005 (see Figure 1).(see endnote 1) Why? Integration with marketing campaign management, bid keyword optimization, and site usability studies have made Web analytics an essential part of site operations. And Web analytics is fast generalizing into cross-channel customer analytics: Forty-nine percent of firms that we interviewed import data into their Web analytics packages from other channels like retail point of sale or call centers.(see endnote 2)
